Kiss Kiss (Bang Bang)
I just spent a good week pulling audio on the voice actor sessions. And, you know, I can’t say much (because it’s secrets all the way down), but I believe I can say this much… there may be some really good outtakes and bloopers in there. I can’t say what will be done with them, if anything… I’m just saying that they exist. But just keep that between you and me.
And this is great! Because of the donations we got from our fans, we didn’t have to check our watches and tell our VAs, “Hey, we can only pay you for an hour. Just read through the lines real quick.” Instead, our VAs got to experiment, suss out the right reading for the line, and yes, even goof around a bit. They sound amazing.
Which is why you should continue to donate! Not just to fund the project but also so we can keep paying artists what they really need to fine-tune their craft. Also, we’re still trying to get to that last stretch goal. A music video featuring the amazing musicians, Sepiatonic.
Often, I’ve said that musicians are the greatest of all artists because music greases the wheels of creativity.
Speaking of, here’s the Lackadaisy’s own band! Personally, I’m a fan of Sy. He’s like the A. J. McLean to Zib’s Kevin Richardson. What is Rocky, then? Nick Carter?
And just a lot has been done on the art side. Some of it exciting and some of it bizarre. Take a look-see!
And here’s what the polished backgrounds will look like. They got vegetation. They got gravestones. They got lighting! (preliminary concept)
The faces, too, are looking great. The animations are really going to feel alive once our animators really start going to town.
Oh, and guess what? Newt made some sexy 3D shots…
Actually, We got some hot photos of Serafine’s closest partner…
I’m talking, of course, about the lovely Boudreaux.
Beautiful.
There’s also this tommy gun, which is equally aesthetically pleasing (if you swing that way.)
And just to be clear: Real guns are dangerous. But fictional guns are “dangerous” but also safe because they’re fictional. So it’s okay to make eyes at them.
Last but not least, we hosted another Shop Talk featuring the indomitable Worthikids, creator of Bigtop Burger and artist who once inexplicably predicted the end of Star Wars (proving again that comedians are actually prophets).
Anyway, I love you all! Take care and keep wearing your masks! Keep your nose to the ground so you don’t lock eyes with the Rocky lamp lurking over the horizon, always watching!
Abyssinia! :3
