Finishing up a classic, Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy - Douglas Adams, and soon will be starting Cornelia Funke's great title The Thief Lord.

Now on Foundation's Edge, by Asimov.

Read book I of the Age of Fire series, by E. E. King. Holy shit, it is awesome! Reading the third book now (the first three can be read in any order and my copy of the second book is on order).

Also reading the first book in the Earthsea series by Ursula K. Le Guin. It's pretty good so far.

Aaand going to start Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality series on the recommendation of the boyfriend.

Also want to start several manga series - including the four volumes of Children of the Sea (Daisuke Igarashi) that's sitting next to me. SO MANY BOOKS. 8D

Well, after durn near pulling a brain muscle going from reading this:

to reading this:
Image (The Seven-Per-Cent Solution)

I'm currently reading this:
Image (The Mammoth Book of New Sherlock Holmes Adventures)

It is indeed mammoth, so I might be at it for a while.

Currently, I have been exploring a new Sci-Fi author and reading the Age of Ra, but I haven't been real pleased with it over all.

Just finished reading "The color out of space" by HP Lovecraft.
Jesus Christ. Don't read before bed.

The Crimson Campaign by Brian McClellan. Second book in the series, and it is still as fantastic add the first one was.

Haha, I'm reading this book right now and I agree with everything that's been said here. Self-absorbed white guy who thinks he discovered living in the woods.

He sounds dreamy. :|

Started and finished "A Meal In Winter" by Hubert Mingarelli in about half an hour. Short and melancholy.

Chatted with a friend about the Bartimaeus trilogy and the urge to return is growing. But I promised myself I would read Hemingway! Or at least find one book where I could bear to stand Hemingway!

I confess to really liking For Whom the Bell Tolls, though I haven't looked back at it for about ssseven years (?) and it's possible my tastes may have changed. Granted it has its slow moments and a fair smattering of all the other Hemingway problems, as per usual. But hey, Spanish Civil War! Plus a lovable slacker named Rafael.

My first impression of him was "A Farewell to Arms" and Catherine made the experience teeth-grindingly awful. His whole style just didn't sit well with me for some reason.

Still, I'll take your advice. It's either FWTBT or Death in the Afternoon next!

I didn't care much for that one! In fact, I did my best to forget ever having read it. But FWTBT may have caused me to shed a manly tear or two.

Is that a Farewell to Arms or masculine masculine bullfighting?

Oh heavens, emotional turmoil is the last thing I need right now. So naturally I have to go for it. (Slovenly rogues called Rafael included).
